How we rate casinos
Every casino on Casinofy is scored by our review team using the same repeatable, evidence-based process. We don’t rank sites on bonus size alone — our rating reflects how a casino actually performs for a real player, from sign-up to withdrawal. This page explains exactly how we test and score, so you know what our numbers mean.
The five things we score
Each casino earns a rating out of 10, built from five weighted pillars:
Trust & safety
We verify the operating licence on record (and the regulator behind it), check the company’s ownership and track record, and confirm responsible-gambling tools, fair-play certification and data protection are in place. A casino can’t score well anywhere else if this pillar is weak.
Bonuses & value
We read the full bonus terms — not just the headline. Wagering requirements, game weightings, maximum cashout, expiry windows and minimum deposits all feed the score. A smaller offer with fair terms beats a huge headline locked behind ×60 wagering.
Game selection
We look at the size and quality of the library: slots, live dealer, table games and jackpots, and which studios power them. Breadth matters, but so does whether the headline games people actually search for are available.
Payments & payouts
We time real withdrawals where possible, record the available deposit and cashout methods, and note minimums, fees and verification (KYC) friction. Fast, predictable payouts move this score up the most.
Support & experience
We contact support with real questions and judge speed and quality of the answers, then assess the mobile experience, site performance and overall usability.
How we test
Wherever we can, we register a real account, make a real deposit, play across the library and request a withdrawal — then record what happened. We cross-check licence details against the regulator’s public register, and we verify every bonus against the operator’s own terms page rather than relying on affiliate copy. Claims we can’t confirm don’t go in the review.
The scoring scale
Ratings run from 1 to 10. As a rough guide: 9.0+ is exceptional, 8.0–8.9 is excellent, 7.0–7.9 is good, and anything below 6.0 means we found problems serious enough that we can’t recommend the site to most players.
Keeping reviews current
Casinos change — terms get rewritten, licences lapse, payout speeds drift. We re-check our top-rated sites regularly and update both the written review and the score when something material changes, so the date on a review reflects the last time we verified it.
Editorial independence
Casinofy earns commission from some of the operators we list, but commercial relationships never change a score or a ranking. Scores are set by the review team using the criteria above; the commercial side has no input. Read more about how we make money. 18+ — please gamble responsibly.
