Best New Jersey Online Casinos October 2026

New Jersey’s internet gaming law was signed on 26 February 2013, and the first sites opened to everyone in the state that November. The Division of Gaming Enforcement, part of the Attorney General’s office, regulates them; the Casino Control Commission decides the casino licences.

Only an Atlantic City casino, or its internet gaming affiliate, can hold an internet gaming permit, and the permit is renewed every year. All nine casinos hold one today. Each casino can host several brands under its permit, which is why FanDuel operates under Golden Nugget’s and DraftKings under Resorts’. The table above shows every approved site with the casino behind it.

The DGE publishes the list of approved internet gaming sites and is blunt about what it means: any site not on the list is not approved to offer internet gaming in New Jersey. Check the web address as well as the brand name, because the list is written as addresses.

An approved site also shows the 1-800-GAMBLER message when you log on and carries a responsible gaming logo that links to its player protection page.

The same brand runs different welcome offers in different states, and they change often. The offer on each card above is the one on our record for that casino, with the date we last checked it. Before you deposit, read the operator’s New Jersey terms: the wagering requirement, which games count towards it, the time limit and the minimum deposit decide what an offer is really worth.

The New Jersey self-exclusion programme is run by the DGE and covers every approved online casino and sportsbook at once. You can sign up online or through your own casino account for one year or five years. If you sign up in person or by video call, you can also choose a lifetime exclusion and include the Atlantic City casinos themselves.

If gambling is causing a problem for you or someone you know, call 1-800-GAMBLER. New Jersey’s helpline is free, confidential and open 24 hours a day.

Gambling winnings, including online casino winnings, are subject to New Jersey Gross Income Tax. You can use losses from the same year to offset winnings, down to zero. Where New Jersey tax is withheld from a payout, the rate is 3%. The Division of Taxation explains the rules on its lottery and gambling winnings page. Federal tax applies as well. This is general information, not tax advice.

New Jersey’s online casinos won $2.91 billion in 2025, 22% more than in 2024. In August 2026 the figure was $259.3 million, up 4.4% on a year earlier, according to the DGE’s monthly release. Operators have paid a 19.75% tax on internet gaming revenue since July 2025.
