Outs and pot odds
Count the cards that would make your hand, then compare your chance of hitting with the price of the call.
With 9 outs and one card to come you hit 19.1% of the time, against the 20.0% the call needs: on pot odds alone, a fold. These assume every out wins and none of your outs is in another player's hand.

Questions
How does the poker odds calculator work?
Once the flop is out and every hand is known, it deals every possible turn and river and counts who wins each one, so the result is exact. Before the flop, or against random hands, it deals 200,000 random boards instead, which is accurate to about 0.2 percentage points. Ties split the pot, so equity counts half a win for a two-way tie.
What are the odds of getting pocket aces?
1 in 221: there are 6 ways to be dealt two aces out of 1,326 possible starting hands. Any pocket pair comes up 1 in 17.0, and you'll be dealt suited cards 23.5% of the time.
What is the rule of 2 and 4?
A shortcut for turning outs into odds: multiply your outs by 2 for one card to come, or by 4 for two. For a flush draw (9 outs) it gives 18% and 36%; the exact figures are 19.1% and 35.0%. It overstates big draws: with 15 outs the rule says 60% where the exact figure is 54.1%.
How do you calculate pot odds?
Divide the amount you have to call by the total pot after your call. Calling 25 into a pot of 100 means risking 25 to win 125, so you need to win at least 25 ÷ 125 = 20% of the time for the call to pay in the long run.
Is ace-king better than a pocket pair?
Before the flop, a pair is a small favourite: pocket queens win 57.2% against ace-king offsuit, and even pocket deuces have 53.0%. Ace-king is a big favourite over hands it dominates, such as ace-queen (74.0%).
How often do pocket aces win?
Against one random hand, aces have 85.2% equity; against two, 73.4%; and against five, 49.2%. They're the best starting hand, but the more players in the pot, the more often they get beaten.
