Apple Pay Casinos: Deposits, Payouts and Fees

Apple Pay is Apple's way of paying with a card you already hold. You add a debit, credit or prepaid card from a participating bank to the Wallet app, and Apple Pay presents that card when you pay. It is not an account and it does not hold money. Apple states that it is not a bank and that any card used in Apple Pay is provided by the card issuer, so the money stays with your own bank.

The service launched in the United States on 20 October 2014 and arrived in the UK in July 2015. Two other Apple products are sometimes confused with it. Apple Cash is a stored balance and Apple Card is a credit card, and as of October 2026 Apple offers both only in the United States. For readers in the UK and Europe there is no Apple balance and no Apple-issued card. Apple Pay is your own bank card in digital form.

The casinos in the list above offer Apple Pay in the cashier. You need an Apple device with up-to-date software, signed in to your Apple Account, and a card from a bank that supports Apple Pay.

1. Add your card to Wallet. Open the Wallet app, tap Add Card, choose Debit or Credit Card, then hold the card to the phone or type in its details. Your bank finishes the job with its own verification step. There is no separate Apple Pay registration.
2. Open your casino account. Register and complete the identity checks. Casinos licensed in Great Britain must verify your name, address and date of birth before you can play.
3. Choose Apple Pay in the cashier. Enter the amount you want to deposit and select Apple Pay.
4. Approve the payment. Check the card and the amount, then confirm with Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode.

The deposit is a card payment made with the card you selected. Apple Pay works on iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Mac and Apple Vision Pro. Since iOS 18 it can also be used in other browsers on a computer, where the site supports it: a code appears on screen, you scan it with your iPhone or iPad and approve the payment there. Either way, an Apple device is required.

Apple Pay has no balance, so winnings cannot be paid into Apple Pay the way they can into an e-wallet. What Apple does provide is a tool that merchants can use to send money to a card in your Wallet. It is called Transfer Funds with Apple Pay and has been available since iOS 17. Money sent this way arrives on that card, so it ends up with your own bank.

Whether a casino offers this is the casino's decision, and how long a payout takes depends on the casino and on your card issuer. Where it is not offered, you are paid through another method in the cashier, such as a bank transfer. Look at the withdrawal options before your first deposit so you know how you will be paid.

One rule helps players in Great Britain. A licensed casino there may not delay a withdrawal by asking for information it could reasonably have requested earlier.

As of October 2026, Apple's list of supported countries and regions has about 100 entries, including the UK, Ireland and much of Europe. That list tells you where a card can be added to Apple Pay. It does not tell you where you can play. That depends on the gambling law where you live and on the licence the casino holds, and each casino decides whether to offer Apple Pay at all.

Great Britain has one rule to know. Since 14 April 2020, gambling businesses there have not been allowed to accept payment by credit card, and the rule extends to credit card payments made through a money service business. An Apple Pay deposit is a payment with the card behind it, so choose a debit card in Wallet when you pay a casino licensed in Great Britain.

Local rules apply to casino apps as well. Apple requires real-money gaming apps on the App Store to hold the necessary licences in the places where they are used and to be restricted to those places.

Every Apple Pay payment has to be approved with Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode. The casino receives a device-specific number and a one-time security code, not your real card number, and Apple says it does not store your original card number.

That protects your card details. It tells you nothing about the casino. Apple's rules for using Apple Pay on websites bar sites that break the law, but they involve no check of a gambling licence, so the Apple Pay button is not a sign that a casino is licensed. Check the licence on the regulator's public register. For Great Britain that is the Gambling Commission's register. Because the payment is made with your own card, a problem with a deposit is one for the casino first and then for your card issuer.
