QBet's site is still operating — but the accountability behind it has hollowed out. Its operator, Novatech Solutions N.V., drew the largest fine in Dutch gambling history, was banned from targeting Sweden, and then deregistered its own company from the Curaçao Chamber of Commerce while the site carried on taking players.

Verified against regulator records and the live watchdog pages in August 2026:

• Record €24.85M fine — the Dutch regulator KSA fined operator Novatech Solutions N.V. €24,846,000 (decision December 2025, published 10 March 2026) for illegally offering gambling to Dutch players via qbet.com and 55bet.com. It is the largest fine the KSA has ever imposed; the operator has filed an objection.
• Swedish prohibition — on 11 March 2026 Spelinspektionen banned Novatech from directing gambling at Sweden, naming qbet.com, 55bet.com, 30bet.com, mangacasino.com and slotexpress.com; its inspection found the Swedish country code pre-selected at registration.
• Self-deregistration mid-enforcement — on 11 March 2026, the day after the fine was published, Novatech deregistered itself from the Curaçao Chamber of Commerce while its sites continued operating. Curaçao media publicly questioned the gaming authority's handling of the still-pending licence application.
• Licensing musical chairs — the site now displays a Canadian (Tobique) licence; the Curaçao register still showed its application merely 'under assessment' as of June 2026.
• Civil action — the Dutch state lottery has taken the operator and its directors to court in The Hague (April 2026), calling qbet.com 'the largest illegal gambling site' in the Netherlands.

Why this matters more than a rating

QBet's headline rating is not the story — the corporate structure is. An operator that dissolves its own registration while under record-setting enforcement, keeps the sites live, and swaps licensing claims is engineering a situation where no regulator and no court can easily reach it. Whatever its payout behaviour today, a player holds an IOU from an entity that has formally exited the register it was licensed under.

The Dutch state lottery has since taken the operator to court, calling qbet.com 'the largest illegal gambling site' in the Netherlands.

A casino whose corporate operator has deregistered itself mid-enforcement offers a player no reliable counterparty: if a withdrawal is refused tomorrow, it is unclear who — legally — owes you the money.
