Piggy Bank: Coinstorm is a 3x3 coin-and-collector slot from Evoplay, released on 29 September 2026. The headline numbers are an RTP of 96.05%, medium volatility, 5 paylines and a maximum win that Evoplay publishes as €750,000 rather than as a multiple of the stake. The free demo above runs the studio's demo build with play money only, a sensible way to get a feel for the Collector and the Bonus Game's reset counter before any real money is involved.
How Piggy Bank: Coinstorm Plays
Behind the bright, cheerful theme of golden bars and the occasional oinking surprise sits a grid of three reels by three rows with 5 paylines, and each reel has one job. Bonus Coins land only on reels 1 and 3. The Collector lands only on reel 2. The loop is simple: coins carry values, a Collector gathers those that land with it, and coins on both outer reels with a Collector between them start the Bonus Game. Line wins make up the rest of the base game, and Evoplay does not publish how the 96.05% RTP is split between those and the coin features.
The Features and What They Do to the Maths
Bonus Coin
In the base game and the Bonus Game alike, each coin carries a random value: 1x, 2x, 3x, 5x, 7x, 10x or 15x the bet, or one of four jackpots, MINI, MINOR, MAJOR and GRAND. On cash values alone the ladder is short, topping out at 15x the bet, so bigger collections need several coins at once, the Bonus Game's multipliers or a jackpot. The studio gives neither the jackpot values nor how often a coin carries one.
Bonus Collector
The Collector gathers and sums every coin that lands with it, sweeping the board in one go. The base game allows one per spin; the Bonus Game allows up to 3, enough to fill the middle reel. The text does not spell out how two or three Collectors on the same spin treat the same coins.
Random Event
This is the game's answer to a dead spin. As Evoplay describes it, a Collector that lands on a spin with no Bonus symbols and no winning combination can turn random symbols on reels 1 and 3 into Bonus symbols and activate the Bonus Game. The operative word is can. No rate is published, so it is a chance of rescue rather than a promise, and it cannot be built into a bankroll plan.
Bonus Game
Triggered by coins on reels 1 and 3 with a Collector on reel 2, the round starts with 3 spins, and every new Bonus Coin or Collector resets the count to 3. Collectors gather the coin values, leaving those positions empty, and the round ends when the spins run out. Evoplay's description of the round also places random multipliers from x1 to x5 above reels 1 and 3, which may change on each spin; x2 to x5 boost the coin values on the corresponding reel.
This is where the variance lives. A round can end after its opening 3 spins if nothing new lands, or run on for as long as coins and Collectors keep arriving. Round length under a reset counter is very sensitive to that landing rate, which is not published, so the same trigger can produce a short, small round or a much longer one.
Bonus Buy
The Bonus Buy lets you purchase the Bonus Game and start it immediately. Its price and RTP are not in the studio's description, so check the quoted price first. Buying skips a trigger of unpublished frequency and stakes the whole purchase on how long a single round keeps resetting, which concentrates variance: treat each purchase as one bet on one round.
Reading the Maths
RTP against recent releases
The first number I look for in any slot is the bonus frequency. Evoplay does not publish one, so the reading starts with RTP. At 96.05%, the house edge is 3.95%: the game is designed to return €96.05 of every €100 wagered as a long-run average, not as a forecast for any session. Of the sixteen other recent releases we compare it with, only Duck Hunters 2 Slot (96%) and Outsourced 2 Slot (96.04%) publish lower figures, while Johnny vs Chicken reaches 97%. You can weigh it against the rest of the recent arrivals on our new slots page.
Volatility and bankroll
Evoplay labels the volatility medium, away from the high end where nine of those sixteen titles sit. In principle that means gentler swings than a high-volatility game, but this design routes its larger results through the Bonus Game, so a session's outcome depends heavily on whether and when that round arrives. Without a hit rate or a bonus frequency, the wait for it cannot be calculated, so choose a stake low enough that a long run without it does not end your session, and set a loss limit before you start.
What the €750,000 cap is worth
The maximum win is the headline figure and the least useful for planning. Published in euros without the stake it relates to, and with no published maximum bet, it cannot be turned into a multiple of your bet. It is a ceiling, and nothing published says how often any round comes near it. What the game is realistically worth rests on the ordinary figures: coins from 1x to 15x the bet, multipliers up to x5, four jackpots of unstated value, and how long a Bonus Game keeps resetting.
What Evoplay does not publish
- Hit rate.
- Bonus trigger frequency, including how often the Random Event fires.
- Maximum bet, and so the maximum win as a multiple of the stake.
- Any alternative RTP versions, so check the figure at your casino.
- The jackpot values and the Bonus Buy price.
How It Compares
The table sets Piggy Bank: Coinstorm against three other medium-volatility September releases already reviewed on Casinofy, and it has the lowest RTP of the four. Read the last column with care: Evoplay publishes a euro amount, while the other three studios publish multiples of the stake, so €750,000 is not directly comparable with the figures beside it.
| Game | Studio | RTP | Volatility | Max win |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Piggy Bank: Coinstorm | Evoplay | 96.05% | Medium | €750,000 |
| PingWin Fly | Belatra Games | 96.16% | Medium | x1000 |
| Johnny vs Chicken | BGaming | 97% | Medium | x5000 |
| Great Game Serengeti Slot | Hacksaw Gaming | 96.29% | Medium | 5,000x |
Who It Suits, and Who Should Skip It
It suits a player who wants a medium-volatility game where every symbol has a clear purpose. The 3x3 layout is easy to read, and the reset counter builds tension without anything complicated to track. If you want to set it against games you already know, our free slots library lets you compare them in demo mode.
Skip it if you want the numbers before you play: with no hit rate, bonus frequency, maximum bet or jackpot values, there is little here to model a session with. Skip it too if RTP is your first filter, because most of the recent field returns more. Nor is the €750,000 headline a reason to play: it is a ceiling, and no slot is a way to make money. If you play for real money, do so at a casino licensed in the country where you live, with a budget fixed in advance. Casinofy is for players aged 18+.
Verdict
On paper, Piggy Bank: Coinstorm is a tidy, readable design with a clear job for every part: coins on the outer reels, a Collector in the middle, a Random Event that can rescue a dead spin, and a Bonus Game whose reset counter and reel multipliers give each round an open-ended shape. Two things hold it back. Its 96.05% RTP is fair but below all but two of the sixteen recent releases we compare it with, and Evoplay publishes little of the maths a variance-minded player needs, starting with the bonus frequency. That makes it solid with real caveats rather than strong: worth a look in the demo, and suited to real-money play only on a budget that allows for the Bonus Game not arriving.
Piggy Bank: Coinstorm pros & cons
- Clear layout: Bonus Coins on reels 1 and 3, the Collector on reel 2, and a Bonus Game trigger that needs all three reels
- Bonus Game counter resets to 3 with every new coin or Collector, backed by x2 to x5 reel multipliers and up to 3 Collectors per spin
- The Random Event can turn a losing spin into a Bonus Game
- Medium volatility needs less of a buffer than the high-volatility releases that make up most of the recent list
- 96.05% RTP is below all but two of the sixteen recent releases we compare it with
- No published hit rate, bonus trigger frequency or maximum bet, so a session cannot be modelled in advance
- The €750,000 maximum win is a euro figure with no stake multiple, so it cannot be compared directly with other studios' caps
- Jackpot values and the Bonus Buy price are not in the studio's description
