Bullride Loot is a 5x4, 20-payline cascading slot from Bullshark Games, released on 9 December 2025 and built and distributed on Hacksaw Gaming's OpenRGS platform. The theme is a truck-driving buffalo hauling cargo across the desert, which is about as much narrative as a 20-line game needs. The numbers that matter are these: a default RTP of 96.29%, a hit frequency of 26.79%, a maximum win of 20,000x the stake, and a volatility rating of 4 out of 5 on the studio's own scale. The demo above runs the studio's free-play build with a play-money balance, so you can watch the cascade loop and the Lucky Chest behaviour without committing anything. Play-money results tell you nothing useful about long-run return, but they will tell you how often the screen goes quiet, which is the thing most players underestimate. 18+.
How the game plays
Five reels, four rows, 20 fixed win lines evaluated left to right. Winning symbols are removed and new ones drop in, and the cascade continues until no further wins land. The key structural detail is that all base wins from the separate cascades within a single spin are added together into one Total Win for that spin, and the Win Multiplier is applied once at the end, after the grid has settled. That is a meaningful design choice: it means the multiplier does not compound cascade-by-cascade but instead rewards you for building a large multiplier early in a chain that keeps going. The multiplier resets with every new spin, so there is no carry-over between spins in the base game.
In practice the loop is short and repetitive by design. Most spins resolve in one drop with nothing on the board. The game is built around the moments when a Lucky Chest appears and the cascade chain extends long enough for the end-of-spin multiplier to matter.
The features and what they do to the maths
Lucky Chest symbol
The Lucky Chest is the engine of the whole game. When it lands it awards either 1 to 4 Wild symbols placed randomly on the grid, or a random addition to the Win Multiplier drawn from 2x, 3x, 5x, 10x, 15x, 20x, 25x, 50x and 100x. The chest itself then becomes a standard Wild. If there is no space on the grid for extra Wilds, the game defaults to increasing the Win Multiplier instead, which is a sensible piece of housekeeping that prevents a dead outcome.
That nine-step multiplier ladder is where the variance lives. The gap between a 2x and a 100x award on an otherwise identical cascade chain is enormous, and because the multiplier is applied once at the end, a single high draw landing on a long chain is the shape of the big result. The low end of the ladder is deliberately crowded, which is how a game with a 20,000x ceiling still returns a conventional 96.29%.
Wild symbol
Wilds substitute for any paying symbol. On a 20-line grid with cascades, injected Wilds do double duty: they complete lines now and they clear positions for the next drop, which is how short chains become long ones.
Bullride Haul (free spins)
Three Scatters award 8 free spins, four Scatters award 10. Each Scatter landing during the feature adds one further spin, and each Scatter also removes the lowest remaining multiplier value from the Lucky Chest ladder. That second effect is the important one. Stripping the 2x, then the 3x, then the 5x from the pool does not change the top of the range, but it lifts the floor, so the average multiplier draw improves the longer you survive in the feature. The studio lists the Bullride Haul at a 96.33% feature RTP.
Cargo Carnage
The sheet lists a second bonus, Cargo Carnage, also at 96.33%. Be realistic about it: the base-game trigger rate is 1 in 78,358 spins. For nearly every player this is a feature that exists on the paytable and nowhere else.
FeatureSpins purchases
Two buy routes are documented. BonusHunt FeatureSpins runs at 96.25% and Treasure Express FeatureSpins at 96.32%. Note that the BonusHunt option sits slightly below the default base-game RTP, which is the usual trade for compressing the wait. Buy availability depends on your market and operator.
Reading the maths
A 26.79% hit frequency means roughly one spin in four returns something, and in a cascading payline game a fair share of those returns will be a single low-symbol line that does not cover the stake. Three spins in four are blanks. That is a dry rhythm, and it is the number to plan around.
The bonus frequency is the headline figure the marketing will not lead with. In the base game, any bonus arrives once every 193.7 spins, with the Bullride Haul itself at 1 in 194.2. That is a long wait. At 300 spins an hour you are looking at roughly one and a half triggers per hour on average, with plenty of sessions delivering none at all. Playing the BonusHunt FeatureSpins mode shortens that dramatically to 1 in 64.1 for any bonus and 1 in 64.3 for the Haul, which tells you exactly what that mode is for.
The 20,000x ceiling is genuine and it is the joint-highest in the Bullshark range alongside Holy Heist, but a ceiling that large on a 96.29% return has to be paid for somewhere, and here it is paid for in the blank spins and the trigger distance. The volatility rating of 4 out of 5 feels honest rather than conservative.
One housekeeping point that applies across this studio's catalogue and indeed most of the Bullshark Games portfolio: Bullride Loot ships in two RTP configurations, 96.29% and 94.28%, and the operator chooses which one to run. A two-point gap is substantial and you will not see it advertised in the lobby. Open the game's info screen before you stake anything and confirm which build you are on. Bullride Loot is not available to UK players; the sheet lists approvals for Malta, Curacao, Denmark, Latvia, Spain, the Netherlands, Ontario, Romania, Greece, Georgia, Portugal, Colombia, Buenos Aires Province and Brazil, with the UK, Sweden, Germany, Croatia and Italy excluded.
How it compares within the Bullshark range
| Game | RTP | Hit rate | Max win | Grid |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Bullride Loot | 96.29% | 26.79% | 20,000x | 5x4 paylines |
| Holy Heist | 96.24% | 24.75% | 20,000x | 5x4 paylines |
| Ancient Paws | 96.16% | 26.35% | 15,000x | 5x4 paylines |
| Jawsome Pirates | 96.28% | 20.88% | 12,000x | 5x4 paylines |
Against its stablemates, Bullride Loot is the better-balanced of the high-ceiling paylines games. It matches Holy Heist on max win with a slightly higher RTP and a slightly higher hit rate, and it beats Ancient Paws on both return and ceiling while carrying a lower volatility rating. If you want frequent action from this studio instead, Piggy Cluster Hunt at 38.34% or Junkyard Kings at 37.14% are the opposite end of the shelf.
Who it suits and who should skip it
This suits players who are comfortable with long dry stretches in exchange for a top-end that is genuinely worth chasing, and who size their stake so that 200 spins is a routine cost rather than a session-ending one. The Scatter-driven removal of low multipliers gives the free spins a real escalation curve, which is more interesting than a flat multiplier ladder.
Skip it if you want regular small returns to keep a balance ticking over, if 20-line paylines maths feels thin next to a cluster or all-scatter grid, or if you are the kind of player who gets frustrated by a bonus that averages nearly 200 spins away. And if the only version your casino offers is the 94.28% build, play something else.
Verdict
Bullride Loot does what it says. The 20,000x ceiling is backed by a multiplier ladder that reaches 100x and a free spins mode that systematically improves the average draw, so the marketing and the maths are pointing in the same direction, which is not always the case in this bracket. The default 96.29% is above the studio's own average and the feature RTPs are consistent at 96.33%. The costs are real and clearly stated: a 26.79% hit rate, a bonus roughly every 194 spins, a second feature that is effectively unreachable, and a 94.28% variant lurking at some operators. It is a well-built, honestly specified high-ceiling grinder rather than a game that will keep you entertained between triggers.
Bullride Loot pros & cons
- Default RTP of 96.29% is above the studio's catalogue average, with consistent 96.33% feature RTPs
- 20,000x maximum win is the joint-highest in the Bullshark range and is genuinely supported by the 100x multiplier ladder
- Scatters removing the lowest multiplier values gives Bullride Haul a real escalation curve rather than a flat bonus
- Volatility rated 4 of 5 is an honest description of how the game actually behaves
- A 94.28% RTP version exists and operators choose it silently; you must check the info screen
- 26.79% hit rate means roughly three in four spins return nothing
- Base-game bonus at 1 in 193.7 spins is a long wait without the FeatureSpins modes
- Cargo Carnage at 1 in 78,358 base-game spins is effectively a paytable entry rather than a feature
- Not available to UK players, nor in Sweden, Germany, Croatia or Italy
