Godly Gains is a 6x6 cascading cluster slot from Bullshark Games, released on 11 November 2025 and distributed on Hacksaw Gaming's OpenRGS platform. The headline figures are a default RTP of 96.26%, a hit frequency of 31.85% and a ceiling of 15,000x the stake. The demo above runs the studio's own free-play build with a play-money balance, so you can watch the cascade engine and the multiplier behaviour without risking anything. That matters more here than in most games, because the bonus frequency figures tell you that a large share of this title's return arrives somewhere you will not reach quickly.
One housekeeping note before the numbers: Godly Gains is not available to UK players. The studio's approved list covers Malta, Curacao, Denmark, Latvia, Spain, the Netherlands, Ontario, Romania, Greece, Georgia, Colombia and Buenos Aires Province, with the UK, Sweden, Germany, Italy, Portugal and Brazil excluded. 18+ only, wherever you are.
How the game plays
The grid is 6x6 and wins are paid by cluster: connect five or more matching symbols and they pay, then clear and let the symbols above fall into the gaps. Standard cascade logic, so one qualifying cluster can chain into several more within a single spin. There are no paylines and no ways count to study; the only geometry that matters is adjacency across 36 positions.
The theme is a gym full of gods, which is as silly as it sounds and is played straight enough to stay out of the way. Mechanically, the core loop is simple: land a cluster, cascade, and hope a God Mode symbol lands in the same sequence to either flood the grid with Wilds or push the Global Multiplier up before the cascade resolves.
The features, and what each does to the maths
Global Multiplier
It starts at 1x and applies to every win. In the base game it resets with each new spin, which is the single most important design fact in the game. It means base-game multiplier value is disposable — whatever you build has to be cashed within that spin's cascade chain. That pushes a meaningful slice of the return into the free spins, where the features are progressive.
God Mode symbol
When it lands it does one of two things. It either drops clusters of Wild symbols onto the grid — anywhere from 1 to 20 Wilds in total — or it applies a random boost to the Global Multiplier. Additive values run 1x, 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, 10x, 25x, 50x, 75x and 100x; multiplicative values are x2, x3, x4, x5 and x10. Within a spin, additives resolve first and multiplicatives are applied afterwards, which is the sequencing that creates the game's genuinely large outcomes: a stack of additives taken to x10 is a very different number from the same values applied the other way round. The symbol itself then becomes a regular Wild. In the base game, God Mode and Scatter symbols cannot appear on the same spin — a deliberate separation that keeps the two routes to a big result from compounding outside the bonus.
Thunderstrike and the free spins
Thunderstrike appears only in the free spins. Each one either adds +1 to the total Wild symbol count or boosts the Global Multiplier. Because every feature is progressive during free spins, the multiplier does not reset between spins, and the Wild counter accumulates. That is where the distribution gets fat-tailed: the longer a round runs with Thunderstrikes landing, the more a single late cluster is worth.
Bonuses and FeatureSpins
Two bonuses exist, Glorious Grind and Divine Drills, plus purchase routes. The studio publishes feature RTPs of 96.29% for BonusHunt FeatureSpins, 96.32% for Max Reps FeatureSpins, 96.38% for Glorious Grind and 96.32% for Divine Drills. Those are all at or slightly above the 96.26% base figure, so the buys are not a stealth tax — Glorious Grind at 96.38% is the best-value entry on the sheet by a small margin.
Reading the maths
RTP versions
Godly Gains ships in two configurations: 96.26% and 94.22%. Casinos choose which one they run, and a two-point gap is not trivial — it is roughly a 54% increase in house edge. Check the game's info screen at your operator before you stake anything; if it shows 94.22%, play it elsewhere.
Hit rate and bonus frequency
At 31.85%, roughly one spin in three returns something. For a cluster game with cascades that is moderate rather than generous — Piggy Cluster Hunt and Junkyard Kings both sit several points higher. Combined with a base-game multiplier that resets, expect a lot of small, sub-stake returns that trim the decline rather than reverse it.
The bonus numbers are where you should set expectations. In the base game, any bonus triggers at 1 in 278.8 spins, almost all of it Glorious Grind at 1 in 299.8. Divine Drills is 1 in 3,983.2 — at a hundred spins an hour that is a once-every-forty-hours event, and realistically most players will never see it organically. Through BonusHunt FeatureSpins the rates tighten to 1 in 89.9 for any bonus, 1 in 96.6 for Glorious Grind and 1 in 1,292.2 for Divine Drills. Even on the hunt build, Divine Drills stays rare.
Max win and bankroll
15,000x is the ceiling, matching Piggy Cluster Hunt and Ancient Paws as the joint-highest cluster-game cap in Bullshark's range bar Holy Heist. Bullshark has not published a usable volatility rating for this title, which is a genuine gap on an otherwise detailed sheet — every sibling game carries a 1-to-5 figure and this one does not. What the structure implies is a game where the base game pays frequently but thinly, and the tail sits in free spins. Plan a bankroll around at least 300 spins at your chosen stake if you intend to trigger naturally, and size down accordingly.
How it compares
| Game | RTP | Hit rate | Max win | Grid |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Godly Gains | 96.26% | 31.85% | 15,000x | 6x6 Cluster |
| Piggy Cluster Hunt | 96.23% | 38.34% | 15,000x | 7x7 Cluster |
| Junkyard Kings | 96.26% | 37.14% | 12,000x | 7x7 Cluster |
| Age Of Seth | 96.29% | 29.11% | 10,000x | 6x5 Cluster |
Godly Gains sits between the two 7x7 titles and Age Of Seth: a lower hit rate than the former pair, a higher one than the latter, and the biggest cap of the four alongside Piggy Cluster Hunt. If you have worked through the Bullshark Games catalogue, this is the studio's most aggressive cluster build to date in terms of ceiling-per-hit-rate.
Who it suits and who should skip it
It suits players who like cluster cascades with a visible multiplier state, who are comfortable with a one-in-three hit rate producing mostly partial returns, and who either budget for a few hundred spins or use the FeatureSpins routes knowingly. The buy RTPs being marginally above base makes those routes defensible rather than punitive.
Skip it if you want frequent meaningful base-game wins — the resetting multiplier works directly against that — or if you need a published volatility figure before committing. Also skip it if the only version available to you is the 94.22% build.
Verdict
Godly Gains is a well-constructed cluster game with honest buy pricing, a sensible separation between its two big-win routes, and a free spins mode whose progressive features justify the 15,000x cap. The deductions are concrete rather than aesthetic: a 94.22% version exists and you must check for it, no volatility rating is published, and Divine Drills at 1 in 3,983.2 is a feature most players will only ever meet through a purchase. Judge it on the default build and it is a strong release; judge it on transparency and it is a step behind its siblings.
Godly Gains pros & cons
- Default 96.26% RTP with feature RTPs of 96.29% to 96.38%, so the buy routes are not priced against the player
- 15,000x ceiling, matching the highest cap among Bullshark's cluster titles
- God Mode sequencing — additives first, then multiplicatives up to x10 — creates a genuinely meaningful tail in free spins
- BonusHunt FeatureSpins compresses the any-bonus rate from 1 in 278.8 to 1 in 89.9, a clear and quantified shortcut
- A 94.22% version ships alongside the 96.26% one and operators choose; you must verify before playing
- No usable volatility rating published, unlike every other game on the studio's sheet
- Divine Drills at 1 in 3,983.2 in the base game is effectively unreachable without a purchase
- 31.85% hit rate is below Bullshark's other cluster games, and the base-game multiplier reset makes those hits thinner
