Raring to meet fearless Hanzo and train in his dojo? Give this slot a spin to find out if this suits your gaming appetite. Or better yet, read through our review first to learn the details of the game.

Hanzo’s Dojo Slot Gameplay

Heavily based on Japan’s Hattori Hanzo who was a legendary martial artist and sensei, this game brings you in a quest to train to be the best and fiercest warrior in the dojo. Hanzo’s Dojo serves as a training ground for you and all other warriors who are on the same quest as you.

As you strive to be the top dog, you’ll encounter various symbols at every spin. From fighters such as the sumo, the samurai, the ninja, and the fan fighter – Hanzo’s Dojo will be your battling ground with these great warriors. Other Asian-themed symbols such as bonsai trees, the crane, waves, and wind storms will litter your reels throughout the game too.

Prepare to meet the fearless Hanzo and train ahead by getting to know the controls of the game first. This game has all the standard controls that you would typically see in the slots arena such as Spin, Autoplay, and Coin Value +/-.

Additional Game Features

This game will introduce you to a couple of fun and interesting features. For example, here, you will be introduced to not just one but two kinds of Free Spins. There’s the 3 x 3 Symbols as well as the Expanding Wild reels. You can use these spins on your quest to becoming the best of the best.

You’ll also be working with Wild Symbols as you play through Hanzo’s Dojo. There is The Mask which serves as both Expanding Wild and Regular Wild. It also works as a substitute for regular symbols in your reels.

In the base game, The Wild also works as Expanding Wild during the Rooftop level. It also acts as a substitute for Hanzo’s symbol. Speaking of Rooftop Slot, this can award you with 3 exciting prizes that include a Hanzo Spin, Free Spins, and Expanding Wild.

Of course, you can get Free Spins from 3 extra boosters or 3 Gong Scatter symbols too. A regular free spins can get you up to 15 regular spins. Rooftop spins, on the other hand, can get you a reward of up to two more spins, a 3 x 3 symbol nudge, a multiplier, and a wild 5th reel.

Hanzo’s Dojo  Game Design

So far, Yggdrasil Gaming production has yet to disappoint us with their graphics, and Hanzo’s Dojo is yet another testament to how well-crafted their games can be. Nicely executed with cool new introductions to its game blueprint, this is a slots game that can take us on a virtual trip to the Far East, and to a time in the 16th century when samurais can be found roaming the land.

The background soundtrack is soothing too, a welcome change to most fast-paced soundtracks that Yggdrasil employs.

We can completely see ourselves immersed in this Asian-themed world. Hanzo’s Dojo introduces new and interesting features (our favorite is the Rooftop feature) and we’re honestly hooked in the narrative.

The characterisation and the progression of the game make us feel as if we’re truly training to be one of Asia’s best warriors, and this is the type of gameplay that we need to be thoroughly distracted and immersed in the storyline.

Hanzo’s Dojo takes us on a journey to be a fighter while still offering medium variance slot – just the right combination of what we need at the moment. And let’s not forget, the surprisingly soothing music takes us someplace where we can be zen while still work to multiply our original bet.

The only downside to this game is that there are a lot of things that you need to keep up with. The new features can be overwhelming at first, but it does get easier once you get the hang of things.

All in all, this game has a great premise complete with the potential to pay out big. Is it worth checking out? To this, we answer with a big affirmative because you can increase your total stake to 2,100 times for every free spin!
