InstaDebit described itself as “a secure, bank-based payment method available to consumers in Canada”. You linked a Canadian bank account to an InstaDebit account, paid a casino from it without handing the casino your banking details, and could receive withdrawals back into the same account. It was not an e-wallet in the Skrill or Neteller sense, and it was never available to anyone outside Canada.
In 2026 Instadebit Inc. published a shutdown notice on its website. In its own words: “Last day to deposit using InstaDebit: February 27, 2026. You may still withdraw your available balance until: April 30, 2026. Any remaining balance is automatically sent to your linked bank account after 28 days of inactivity. For future payments, Interac remains available as an alternative payment option.” Both dates have passed, so no casino can accept an InstaDebit deposit and no player can withdraw to one.
According to the notice, any balance left after the withdrawal deadline is sent automatically to the linked bank account after 28 days of inactivity. If yours has not arrived, the query goes to Instadebit Inc. through the contact details on its website, not to a casino — casinos cannot see or move an InstaDebit balance.
